Yesterday we tried to make it out to the new San Francisco Public Library branch at Mission Bay but made the mistake of trying to drive there. The Mission Bay branch is also right across the street from the ballpark and there was a game going on at the time. Having lived in Chicago only blocks away from Wrigley Field I should have known better than to try this, but sometimes you just have to learn the hard way.

So today we took the very reliable MUNI, which you never need to park, out to the main branch. It’s been a long time since I spent any amount of time at the library, the majority of which was spent at the University of Michigan library in high school. I used to drive out to the library after school and spend the whole day in Ann Arbor.

So we get to the library and not only is it all new and updated they also have Wi-Fi throughout the building! I’m very impressed and am having great memories of working/living at the library. I hope we spend more time out here because it’s nice to get out of the house and on Sunday there is a large farmers market just outside at the UN Plaza.

FYI – The the July 8th edition of NPR’s Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me they revealed that the mark of the beast is not 666 as people once believed but 616. They incorrectly identified 616 as the area code of Ann Arbor, MI later correcting their comment that it is actually the area code for Grand Rapids, MI. The funny thing is a friend of mine just moved to Grand Rapids with his wife who will be attending seminary school there.
